We live in a world where society, our family and friends, even our own perception of ourselves, place unrealistic and unsustainable burdens on our lives. Families are so busy chasing the ideal life, it has them all running in separate directions, taking them further away from each other every day. In the quest to live the ideal lifestyle do you have the mind space to address what you and your family need? If so, do you have the energy and means to bring this to fruition?

If you are thinking NO, your are NOT alone.

What if through a supported process of letting go, venturing confidently into the unknown, and asking questions of a limitless nature you and your family could create your own framework for living your intended family story, one that will serve each of your family members in all of your meaningful pursuits, for the rest of your lives.

Is there a more inspiring life out there for all of us?

Are we living our lives intentionally?

Is life taking us in unintended, perhaps, separate directions?

Is it our intention to live a more meaningful and connected life together?

What would it take for us to create and live the life of our dreams?

What's really stopping us from seeing this through together?

Then this experience maybe the #1 critical event that you & your family need to attend in 2020!

In this all-immersive, weekend gathering, we will embark upon your family's adventurous journey of a lifetime, one that will start with you and your family participating fully in a unique type of learning, where you will learn to create a framework of enquiry that will allow you to access your inner Super Power and directional guidance, on your way to realising the treasures you all posses. This is essential to creating the family life of your heart's desire.

You will all be empowered in an environment of respect and support to realise your potential as full stakeholders in the family's creative process and in this process, you will experience the power and enchantment of creating your own family story, one that will transform the way you come to understand the family dynamic.

Utilizing this framework, we will also explore and address the obstacles, barriers and familial entanglements of the past that have held you back and thwarted your efforts.

We will take guidance from the wisdom of the Indigenous Culture of the Māori People of Aeotearoa (New Zealand), The Land of The Long White Cloud, and through their stories and practices, come to realise the many different options we can choose in our lives together.

This weekend will take courage, effort, trust, a very real level of authenticity, integrity, vulnerability and loving kindness. This weekend will call you to question the core aspects of the lives you lead, challenging you to look and see the alternatives your family has to choose.

Simultaneously, you will be experiencing an avenue of learning, that even with every messy, complex, perfectly imperfect aspect of family life, will offer you a safe haven, and a way in which you can listen to and hear that long quietened inner voice, taking confidence from the direction it offers you. From this, you will forge a family story, one that will weave each of your family member's unique strengths, gifts, creativity and love into the Family Story that you can all live together, in loving fulfilment.

What is at the heart of the value we are offering your family?

❁The entire weekend's transformative and interactive awareness inspired learning sessions. This includes our unique style of integrated learning, storytelling, pro-action roundtables, cultural immersion and energetic renewal together with you and your children.

❁This weekend, our journey will explore how you and your family can listen to and tap into your inner Super Power, your Intuition. We will practically approach how we can take directional guidance and wisdom from this inner voice we all have. We we will utilize the family game we created (The Intuition Game), to get to the heart of this Super Power and learn how this can become a spontaneous, interactive, engaging and fun thing to do with your children as well.

❁ We will take what we have learned from our Intuition and use the directional guidance we have received to create your own unique Family Story. This is a fun activity that every family member can participate in and enjoy. Story is at the heart of creating the lives we all wish to live. A distinctive and united family story, taking direction from intuition and woven from everyone's individual envisioned dreams, is the first step to realizing your dream life together. By utilizing every family member's individual strengths, we will help you create, tell, live and bring to fruition the lives you all desire. We will employ the specific storytelling process we as a family created and developed to help you achieve this.

❁We will also have the wondrous opportunity to learn from and unlock the power that indigenous stories have to offer us as families in this modern world. This will be shared from the perspective of Amelia Butler, a strong and highly accomplished indigenous Māori woman, mother, dancer and performer. She has dedicated the last 20 years of her life in sharing her culture and developing an understanding of its wisdom while building cultural bridges of learning. We also have something very special that the children and all the family will love. We will learn and perform our own Haka, the traditional Māori dance that will allow you and the family to find and connect you with the strength and unity of your own family tribe.

❁ What many of us are unaware of is the debilitating nature of the intergenerational entanglements that we have carried with us and the burden they continue to exert on our daily family life. During the weekend, our journey will empower you to recognize, acknowledge and relieve yourselves of the disempowering patterns that repeat in our lives, generation to generation, preventing us from reaching our full potential as individuals and as a family. We will learn a practical and effective process that we can apply daily, when needed, to rid ourselves of these self-sabotaging patterns and give us the clear space of mind and being to realise our full power as a functioning, loving and wholly integrated family.

❁ There is nothing like taking everything we have learned throughout the weekend and putting into a practicable format, that will challenge all of us to be on the spot, to ask the necessary questions, ponder what is needed, and be challenged to come up with a set of first step actions that we can put into effect immediately after leaving our gathering. This is a fun, interactive and energetic way for us to finish the weekend with everyone in the family participating and declaring their own stake in the outcomes and successes you will all create together.

The Kaponay Family Journey...

Ten years ago, the Kaponay family together made a conscious choice to embrace change as the catalyst to creating a transformational way of living that constantly reinvested in learning and developing, together as a family.

This investment and their subsequent adventures has taken them to over 50 countries on 6 continents over the last nine years. Their passion from learning from all the families they met along their journey and their realisation for endless choice of possibilities for joyful living was the inspiration for creating this retreat.

Along their travels, they noticed the ever encroaching harmful ways stress, overwork, overcommitment and societal narratives, were taking families in separate directions and causing harm and disintegration to the health and well-being of families.

The Kaponay Family longed to share with families what they had learned. To create a framework by which families in their daily lives, could not only recapture that togetherness that was always theirs, but also, to help facilitate a way all families could, live and dream into being their own family story in the unique, dignified way in which they envisioned it.

This is how At Home In The World Family Retreats & Weekends were born, and their names embody every aspect of this possibility as a constant in life.

To be at home with yourself is a core vital step to being at home with your family, and at home with the world, no matter where or how you live.
